How a case works

Ten to twenty minutes. One case. No grid to fill in.

If you already play daily puzzles, this is the deeper one: a short, atmospheric investigation you can finish on a break and compare with friends.

  1. FILED 00:00 UTC

    The case drops

A new fictional case is filed every 24 hours, worldwide. Murder, disappearance, theft, a death that does not add up. Everyone gets the same scene.

  2. SCENE

    Search the room

The scene is a pixel-art room you actually inspect. Click objects, pocket what matters, and watch your evidence tray fill.

  3. CASE FILE

    Catch the contradiction

Every witness tells a story. Pin their statements next to the evidence and flag the one that cannot be true.

  4. THEORY

    Build and revise your theory

Name who, how, and why. Change your mind as the file grows. Your reasoning is what gets scored, not a lucky guess.

  5. CLOSED

    Get scored, compare

See your breakdown for accuracy, evidence, reasoning, and efficiency. Keep your streak alive and check the global leaderboard.

The screens

Three screens. One investigation.

Scene · 3 of 9 hotspots searched

Ticket stub Booth key Empty slot

An interactive scene, not a text dossier

Hotspots hide in the room. What you find goes into an evidence tray you carry through the whole case. Miss something and it is still there, waiting, until the case closes.

Case file · Statements vs evidence

Statement: the projectionist never left the booth
Wet footprint on the lobby stairs Contradiction
Timeline: last reel loaded, 11:40 PM

A case file that remembers everything

Clues, contradictions, and a timeline sit side by side. Build your theory, then revise it as you spot what does not fit. It is saved to your account, so you can pick it back up.

Scored on how you reasoned

Accuracy, evidence, reasoning, and efficiency are scored separately. Then your streak and the global leaderboard show where you stand against everyone working the same case.

Old way vs this way

Work a case. Do not just fill in a grid.
